During the years spanning 2005 to 2012, my academic voyage was anchored in the fascinating realm of planar printed antennas for Ultra-wide Band (UWB) systems. These antennas, meticulously crafted, held the promise of seamless communication with high data rate needed for emerging wireless applications. My contributions echoed through the corridors of academia, resonating in the form of published papers within esteemed international journals and conferences.
As the calendar flipped to post-2012, I embarked on a captivating exploration of MIMO antennas. Simultaneously, I delved into the enigmatic world of metamaterial resonators, where electromagnetic waves danced to hidden rhythms.
In the pivotal year of 2018, DST-SERB bestowed upon me the gift of funding, to unravel the mysteries of metamaterial based microwave filters. The project unfolded across two distinct stages: the inaugural year at the venerable Maharaja’s College, Ernakulam, followed by a dynamic duo of years at the illustrious Govt. Victoria College, Palakkad.
Fast-forward to 2022, when destiny once again beckoned whe DST-SERB graced me with a second Major Research project—this time, a captivating exploration of RF energy harvesting. My canvas expanded to include metamaterial absorbers, those mystical sponges that soaked up ambient energy, transforming it into power.
Alongside me, a dedicated Project Fellow, embarked on her own scholarly journey toward a coveted Ph.D. Together, we wove intricate patterns of knowledge, bridging theory and practice. And amidst the hallowed halls of academia, I now tread the path of CRLH-based leaky wave antennas, traverse the uncharted territories of meta-surfaces, and unlock the secrets of reconfigurable intelligent surfaces.
Our research group wish to add brushstrokes to the grand tapestry of scientific inquiry, fueled by curiosity, resilience, and an unwavering commitment to unraveling the universe’s hidden threads.
